What it is

Oddly-Brilliant Lab is a place where complex problems meet unusual minds.

It’s a growing collective of designers, engineers, coders, filmmakers, researchers, systems thinkers, and wildly creative neurodivergent people — working together to crack open real-world challenges.

No fixed methodology.
We don’t “move fast and break things”.
No normal.

Just weird brains, deep empathy, and the guts to solve the problems most people ignore — or can’t even see.

Why it exists

The world is full of broken systems, stuck problems, and tired solutions.
Traditional R&D teams are built for predictability. We're not.

We built this Lab because neurodivergent minds see connections others miss.
Because lateral thinkers can dodge the obvious.
Because when you ask the right weirdos the right question — you get magic.

Our first challenge was ASTI — an AI productivity tool for neurodivergent people.
It was built here, by contributors around the world.
It’s only the beginning.

Now, we want your problems.
Your puzzles.
Your wild ideas no one knows what to do with.

How you can take part

  • Pose a Challenge — Give us your problem. Big or small. We’ll explore it.
  • Join the Lab — Contribute your skills: code, design, strategy, film, ops, UX, research, storytelling…
  • Sponsor a Team — Fund a challenge. Help us run experiments that wouldn’t otherwise happen.
  • Partner on Research — Work with us to test, measure and share what we build.

What it’s like

You bring us a challenge.
We build the team to explore it — drawn from a living network of misfit minds.

We prototype. We tinker.
We write code, build devices, shoot films, model systems, or design interventions.
Whatever it takes.

And we show our work. Always.

Privacy & Consent

Every part of the Lab respects boundaries — cognitive, emotional, and digital.

We protect contributors. We minimise data.
And we don’t track, monetise, or pretend to own what you create.

We work in good faith and clear agreements, or not at all.
